SEMA 2007 - Show Coverage - Day 4

2007 SEMA ShowAfter four days of SEMA, our dedicated but exhausted correspondent is ready to go home. From his last day, the photos lean more toward the outrageous (a regular-width full-size running a Dana 110 and dually wheels!!), some donk cars, a diesel dragster, and a brush with celebrity: Ironhide, from the Transformers movie...although having seen the Dana 110 dually, I think Ironhide now needs an upgrade. Oh, and check out that brutal-looking Ford Excursion!

DAY 1  DAY 2  DAY 3

Some hi-risers (aka donks, bubbles or boxes).

Toyota's "Prove It!" Tundra off-road ride and drive.

The famous Turtle Expedition trucks.

AVM (Agile Vehicle Modifications), the official vehicle upfitter for International trucks.

Another JK Jeep Wrangler Unlimited on a Dodge 3/4 ton frame. A bit different from the Petersen's rig in that it has an older style front end that is widened and uses a custom dashboard with a Dodge truck instrument cluster and steering column. Note the width of the front end.

GMC 4500 Top Kick pickup truck. Ironhide from the movie Transformers.

A very big Ford Excursion...this one will get your attention on the road!

Something old, something new.

A diesel (Cummins) dragster.

2007 Toyota Tundra PreRunner concept vehicle. This truck is signed by The Iron Man, Ivan Stewart and features TRD performance enhancements and suspension, Retro Toyota Motorsports paint, Pro Comp exterior pieces, and BFG Baja T/A tires. The vehicle builds on the heritage of Toyota trucks that dominated the desert and stadium racing series in the early 80s. The vehicle was built by Pro Comp Engineering.

Toyota FJ Baja Truck Trail Teams. This vehicle created by MillenWorks Racing, replicates the SCORE Stock-Mini FJ Cruiser that was used in the 2007 Baja 1000 races. It features a RevTek 2.5 inch HD lift, and assortment of TRD products and an ARB Bull Bar with Warn XP9500 winch.

2008 Ford F350 Super Duty created by FabTech. This truck dubbed "Power Storm", features a Fabtech 10 inch front and rear coil over suspension with Dirt Logic shocks and stabilizers, 6.4L Power Stroke Diesel and a custom Dana 110 rear axle. That's, right, a Dana 110. The exterior is painted using House of Kolor Paint by Haynie Designs Paint Artistry.

Grabs your attention, doesn't it?

The builder of this BMW Isetta dragster gets major bonus points for originality.

You'd be excused for thinking this was a Toyota FJ40. In fact, it is an ICON 4x4 which is hand-built in Los Angeles.

An ICON TLC FJ45 Pick Up by JW motion. This one of a kind concept ICON features many of the rare 1963-1967 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 pick up designs. It features a 2.8L 4 cylinder International motor and variable vane turbo and achieves 30 mpg on bio-diesel fuel. Dana based Dynatrac axles are on the underside of the vehicle. ICON vehicles are hand-built at a rate of 36 per year.
