July 11, 2009 saw the annual Coastal Cruisers Show and Shine event at Deas Island Park in Delta, BC. The weather was incredible but I suspect that the same number of Landcruiser fans would have been there even if it were pouring rain in biblical proportions. The Cruiserheads were out in force with close to 90 Toyotas showing up for the event and a very large number of spectators as well. Here in British Columbia, Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles have become very common so readers from south of the 49th parallel might see some very interesting rigs that you will not be able to get to see driving down the street in the USA. In addition to all the Cruiser porn, there were also some excellent prizes given out for the prize draws. Top prize was an ARB fridge which everyone in attendance was hoping to win. All in all it was a great show and shine event with many cool rigs.
