Superlift Releases Innovative 4-Link Upgrade For 2005-07 Ford F-250 & F-350 Super Duty
Dec 19, 2006
If you thought after market 4-link suspension systems were just for the rock crawlers, Superlift has proven you wrong. They've released a 4-link kit that replaces the factor radius arm set-up for Ford Super Duty 4x4s. From a handling perspective, the kit is superior to the factory arrangement because it maintains the caster angle no matter how heavily or lightly the vehicle is loaded. The kit can be optioned to support dual shocks and provides virtually unlimited caster adjustment. If you have to have the trickest suspension for your Super Duty, this is the kit for you.
West Monroe, LA: Superlift bolsters its 4", 6" and 8" lift system offerings for current-model Ford Super Duty 4x4s with a revolutionary front 4-link upgrade system. Replacing the factory radius-arm arrangement offers several advantages, primarily less caster change as the suspension cycles. This yields more stable steering and handling traits in all terrain types, on-road or off.
Furthermore, Superlift's adjustable Rockrunner lower links allow infinite caster adjustment. The real-world benefit is for Super Duty owners who haul or tow; caster is lost as the rear squats from being loaded or towing, and the Rockrunner arms' ability to provide additional caster improves steering predictability and feel. Also, the 4-link generates less bind as the suspension travels, which improves ride.
The 4-link arms are made from 2" OD x .188" wall-thickness DOM tubing and .25" steel plate. Arms are equipped with greasable, high-density Urethane eye bushings, which deform less under load and improve control.
Installation involves attaching the 4-link's arm brackets to the existing lift system’s radius-arm relocation brackets. The factory steel-encased rubber bushings are retained at link-to-axle mounting points to reduce vibration and shock transfer.
Shown here with the optional dual-shock hoop and Superide SSR remote-reservoir shocks, the Super Duty 4-link kit can also be ordered with Superide Standard series shocks or SS series monotube shocks by Bilstein. Superlift also recommends its Dual Steering Stabilizer kit, available with standard mounting brackets or with the 3-D "flame" logo.
Other popular Superlift Super Duty options include Torque Max Traction Bars to counter axle-wrap, Rail Wraps brushed-stainless steel frame panels, a brushed-stainless skid plate with the laser-cut Superlift "flaming oval" logo and eXtreme Ring diff covers to protect both pumpkins. All Superlift products are backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
