Superlift eXtreme Ring™ Differential Cover Armor
Feb 9, 2007
Superlift has come out with their eXtreme Ring™ line of differential cover armor. These slick-looking cover guards are constructed from laser-cut, 1/4" steel and feature Superlift's stylized "S" logo. These rings are available for a variety of differentials. Of particular interest is the fact that they make one for the Ford 8.8. These are great axles but they have terribly weak differential covers. An eXtreme Ring™ should be mandatory equipment if you've got an 8.8 sitting under your 4x4.
As all off-roaders know, a 4x4's differentials are its lowest-hanging components. Diff covers are easily damaged by off-road obstacles and even urban debris -- their thin sheetmetal-like material can be deformed or peeled away from the differential housing upon impact, resulting in oil leaks and even internal damage. Superlift designed the eXtreme Ring™ for both hardcore 4x4 enthusiasts and those looking for a functional yet fashionable way to enhance their vehicles' undercarriages. The eXtreme Ring™ differential protector is constructed entirely of laser-cut 1/4" steel plate for superior strength and an exact fit as well as to give the "S" logo a 3-D effect. The ring reinforces the seal area while providing valuable frontal protection. For durability, eXtreme Ring™s are finished in yellow/gold zinc chromate. Over time, this finish develops a ruggedly elegant patina while continuing to deter rust. Applications are available to fit most popular American trucks: Chevy, Ford, Dodge, and Jeep - including the complete Dana axle line.
