Power Stroke Registry Makes the Transition to PowerStrokeOnline.com
Feb 6, 2009
Carrollton, GA: Power Stroke Registry, the leading magazine for Ford diesel-truck enthusiasts since 1998, goes digital with its January 2009 issue. PSR publisher Bill Staib says, "Because of a paradigm shift in publishing, we will no longer be printing an ink-and-paper edition. Taking the publication on-line offers a number of great benefits. Most important, we can offer the magazine free to our readers -- we'll no longer have paper, printing, and mailing costs. This means we'll reach a much bigger audience for our advertisers."
Renamed PowerStrokeOnline.com, the publication has a new look. Months of research were spent before PDF was chosen as the best format. "This makes the magazine immensely friendly and easy to read," Bill Staib says. "No scrolling or little magnifying glasses!" PDF also allows readers to easily print articles, search text and hyperlink directly to manufacturers' websites.
The on-line publication's content continues to be everything Power Stroke owners expect: how-to articles, maintenance information and technical Q&A. "We haven't even scratched the surface of the opportunities the new on-line format opens up," Bill Staib says.
