Cascade Peninsula Closure, Harrison Lake
Mar 27, 2001
Ken Langdale of the Chilliwack FSD, explains why access to the Cascade Peninsula was blocked off:
We closed off vehicle access to Cascade Peninsula in 1992-93 when Bear Creek was closed. We did this to prevent the large parties and vandalism we were experiencing in those sites at that time. I would ask that your members respect this closure.
There is a public review ongoing now for some Forest Development
Plans. The general public is welcome to come in, view the plans and make comments. I would encourage you to do so quickly for this year. The final day for receiving comments is April 6 for most plans.
The person to contact in this office is Doug Campbell, Operational Planning Supervisor. His phone number is 604-702-5766. His e-mail address is Douglas.Campbell@gems3.gov.bc.ca.
