Sea-to-Sky LRMP Creates Winter Non-Motorized Zone in the Upper Callaghan Valley
Apr 11, 2008
A land use agreement between the Lil'wat Nation and the Province was signed on April 11, 2008, and features the creation of a winter non-motorized zone in the Upper Callaghan Valley. This doesn't appear to affect 4x4 recreation but since many of our readers are also avid snowmobilers, we are presenting this information for their benefit.
An agreement on land use planning between the Lil'wat Nation and the Province was signed on April 11, 2008.
A final LRMP will soon be available for presentation to the public. Open Houses will be held on April 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, in Pemberton, Squamish, and North Vancouver (invitation).
The Sea-to-Sky LRMP website will be undergoing major changes to mark the shift from development to implementation. Content on the existing site will be available on the new site. The new website, with copies of the final LRMP, will be up and running next week.
