Harbourview Mourned

This will be a peaceful, non-confrontational event.
The issue of the Harbourview lands has been a volatile and emotional one in our community. Since the legal ownership was turned over to the TLC in the early months of last year, there hadn't been much of a physical deterrent to enter those lands, apart from a few signs. Last week, two gates were installed at the entrance, effectively barring all access to these lands.
The loss has finally hit home in all our hearts.
Island4x4.com is organizing a memorial to express the sorrow we all feel and to say goodbye one last time. We plan to have a convoy of trucks, driving from Langford to Sooke, to lay flowers and other memorabilia at the gates.
This is not a protest! This is not a trail run!! This is simply an on-pavement memorial to our favorite playground! Confrontational materials will not be permitted.

Please feel free to bring copies of your favorite pictures, bouquets of flowers and anything else suitable to place at the gates.
